I cannot believe Emmitt is three months old already! It has gone by so fast. I am shocked to look at his newborn pictures and see how different he is already. He is such a sweet little boy. He makes me laugh and smile every day. He is so happy and is always talking and cooing. He got his first cold this week and it was terrible. I felt so bad for him. He was really congested and coughed a lot. Even though he was sick and not feeling well he still had a smile on his face every time he saw me and Mike. We heard him laugh for the first time the other night. OMG!!! It had to be the cutest sound I have ever heard. I tried the whole next day to make him laugh again and of course he wouldn't until we went down to my parents house that night and my dad held him. He laughed so much. I just loved it.
It is so cute, everytime Mike comes home for lunch or after work or school Emmitt gets so excited to see him. He just loves his dad. Today we had Emmitt's bouncer on the table and Mike was walking around the kitchen and Emmitt just sat there and watched Mike everywhere he went. He would not take his eyes off of him.
The other night we woke up to Emmitt talking to himself in his bed. It was around 3:30 and he was just laying in his bed having a conversation with who knows what. So Mike went in and gave him his binky to help him fall back asleep. Not even five minutes later he starts talking again. We laid there listening to him for about ten minutes to see if he would fall asleep on his own. But of course he didn't, so I went in again and gave him his binky. If I ever go into his room in the middle of the night I do it with the lights off so he doesn't see me and want to play. So as soon as I walked into the room and grabbed his binky, he started to smile a ton. He knew I was there even though it was so dark. He is such a stinker.
Emmitt is so opinionated!!! He hates wearing socks. Every time I put socks on him he rubs his feet together to get them off. He is quite the expert at getting his socks off now. And with out fail every time he has finally gotten both off he sighs, as if it is the best thing ever to not have socks on. He is quite good at kicking he pants of, as well. He also hates having blankets on. He has been very particular about this since he was a newborn. Usually most newborns like to be swaddled up in a blanket, so they can be all warm and cozy. But as soon as Emmitt was born he didn't want to have anything to do with blankets and had to sleep with his arms stretched out above his head. We just recently got one of those sheep skin covers for his carseat. They are the kind that go over them in the winter. It has two zippers that zip up and a flap that can go down and cover his face to keep him out of the cold. Well he hates this more than socks and blankets. We were at Tai Pan the other day and we had unzipped it but left it still covering him like a blanket because it was warm in the store. Well he fought so hard to get one of his feet up on top of it. He kept kicking and wiggling around until he could get his foot out. So we decided that we were going to put his foot back in to see what he would do. The second we did he wiggled it right back out and set it on top. We did this 15 or so times, just for fun, and every time he would bring it right back out. Who knew a baby so young could be so opinionated. I am curious to see what else he will be so opinionated about when he gets older... Time can only tell...

We went to the Bingham playoff game the other day and Emmitt and Mike were matching in navy blue and white striped shirts. They looked so cute together, I just could not pass up the opportunity to take a picture.

Emmitt has now discovered his feet. He loves to hold on to them, especially while he is in his talkative moods... It is so cute.

He sure loves to smile at us. I took this picture at 6:45 one morning. He wakes up happy and goes to bed happy.

So I am pretty sure he is teething now. He is constantly chewing on his hands, arms, binky and pretty much anything that comes near his mouth. I am surprised that he has started this early, but oh well he will be even cuter with a little tooth showing when he smiles.

This is one of my favorite pictures of him. He is smiling at Mike here.
